Aidan Leffler

The Walk for Aidan was a success

Thank you to all the people that took part in the Walk for Aidan. This year was the fourth year that Sammamish High School has worked so hard for the cure of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, the world's leading genetic killer of young children. For the first time the walk had a theme focused on music and time was from 3 to 8 on Saturday the 5th. The walk was so successful that Sammamish High School broke their previous records of money donated to the Leffler family; this year the school has raised $37,200 and is still not done counting the donations that were not counted on the 5th.
The donated money will help the Leffler family temporarily move to a location that is closer to promising research for Duchenne, in the hopes of helping Aidan and other children that have the dystrophy.
So thank you to all the people that helped in some manner, such as Evening Magazine, guest stars such as Seahawk players and Freddy Montero, all the company donors, and all the students that worked so hard for the walk. Thank you, and lets see if we can make next years walk even better than this years.
