The 1st Annual Snohomish Farmers Market Fruit Pie Bake Off crowned the Queen of Fruit Pie Baking last Thursday during the afternoon Farmers Market in Historic downtown Snohomish.
10 pies were entered with 1st Place Blue Ribbon going to Gena Miller of Marysville with a Blueberry pie. Prize: Cuisinart Stand Mixer with food processor attachments =$459 value donated by Kusler Pharmacy, Snohomish.
2nd place red ribbon- Teri Jennings of Snohomish with a raspberry/blueberry pie. Prize: 2 pottery mixing bowls + 2 cookbooks =$102.00 value donated by Steve Dalton owner/potter of Clear Creek Pottery, Snohomish.
3rd place white ribbon- Girl Scout Troup 392 of Snohomish with a blueberry pie. Prize:$50.00 gift certificate to McDaniel's Do-It Center, donated by Brad McDaniel, owner of McDaniel's Do-It Center, Snohomish.
3 Honorable Mention Awards presented to 4th, 5th and 6th place winners. Prize: Washington State Grange Cookbooks,$8.00 value each, donated by Garden City Grange, Snohomish
