Ruben is a Swedish Vallhund, born in McMinnville, Oregon. In Belltown his owner gets stopped everyday by curious onlookers that wonder if he is a mix between a wolf, German Sheperd, Corgi, or a fox. Swedish Vallhunds are American Kennel Club registered. He is playful yet gentle, and gets healthily spooked at least 5 times a day by a different sound of the city, as he's growing accustomed to living off the farm. You can imagine his reaction to Pike Place Market and a ride on the elevator! To this owner's knowledge, there are only two of Ruben's breed in greater Seattle.
